Summer Shower Family Concert

We had our first ever Summer Shower Family Concert in the ELC on Thursday! I was very happy that all the children listened so nicely. First we listened to Yae play some songs the children sing in class on the piano.

After that the concert began with some Dvorak. Then the children listened to an arrangement of famous songs from movies, and songs they know from preschool – Dancing Queen, Aladdin, Star Wars, and The Sound of Music. Some of the children danced or sang along a little bit, but they were a little embarrassed.

Finally we listened to a collection of famous songs that parents or children might know, including Amazing Grace, さんぽ, and 崖の上のポニョ.

At the end of the concert the children asked to hear Dancing Queen again, and danced and sang for everyone. It was an amazing day.
