3年F組では、9月のひと月間、Freericeというゲームプロジェクトに取り組みました。
英単語や算数の問題に取り組むFreericeゲームで一問正解すると、国連の世界食糧計画(WEP)を通じてお米10粒が飢餓に苦しむ途上国に寄付されます。
SDGs2番の「飢餓をゼロに」を目標に掲げ、クラスをSuper Duper Rice とSuper Food Riceという2チームに分けゲームで競います。優勝したチームやゲームに貢献した人には賞状が送られました。
ひと月間取り組んだ結果、みんなで合わせてお椀8000杯以上のお米を寄付することができました。

The 3rd graders of the Super English Course of Kori Nevers Gakuen Elementary school in Osaka, Japan are amazing. They learned about the SDG goal number 2: Zero Hunger and applied themselves to making a difference through the Freerice game. We created two teams within the same class: Super Duper Rice and Super Food Rice. They battled each other for the whole month of September. The students managed fill more than 8,000 bowls of rice all together.
