昼食後、子どもたちは外国人講師の出身国のスポーツについて学びました。
ニュージーランドではポピュラーなスポーツである『ローンボール』の遊び方を学び、
実際にプレイしてみました。

その後グループに分かれ、iPadを活用して、学校の制服についてや、どの教科を勉強するのが一番大切か、などの様々な討論をしました。
３日目に最終ディベートを行います。

討論の準備の合間には、『brainstorm 』というESLカードゲームをしました。
子ども達はグループやグループリーダーと一緒に、とても楽しんでいました。

夕食後、キャンプファイヤーをしました。
キャンプファイヤーは子どもたちにとって、とても思い出深い体験となったことでしょう。
キャンプファイヤーの周りで歌ったり踊ったりするはとても楽しかったようです。
素晴らしいひと時となりました。

この数日間で多くのことを学び、貴重な思い出を作ることができることを願っています。

After lunch, the students learned about sports from the countries around the world which the foreign teachers come from. The students then learned how to play and tried to play lawn bowls which is a popular sport in New Zealand.

The students then broke into teams to prepare for a group debate. Students used their iPads to research information to support their teams opinions. Some of the topics vary from school uniforms to which subjects are the most important to study. Students will have the final debate tomorrow on the last day.

During a break time from debate preparation students were able to play an ESL card game called, “brainstorm.” The students had a lot of fun playing with their groups and group leaders.

Lastly, students had dinner and then went to a bonfire. The bonfire will be a very memorable experience for the students. They enjoyed singing and dancing around the bonfire so much. It was a wonderful time for them.

Tomorrow will be the last day for the camp, so I hope we can finish the camp on a high note and that all the students involved can take many learning experiences and precious memories from the last few days.
