Dotty for Pumpkins: Cosmos class gets creative with Yayoi Kusama

Boo! Happy Halloween!

This October, the Cosmos class is highlighting a special artist—our very own Yayoi Kusama,

a world renowned Japanese artist!

With pumpkins in season, who better to inspire our Halloween art project than the queen of dots herself? The kids explored Kusama’s iconic pumpkin-themed works, marveling at her intricate patterns and playful use of repetition.

They also enjoyed learning about her life story—how she transformed something as simple as a dot into mesmerizing, complex art. Inspired by Kusama, the children approached their own pumpkin artworks with enthusiasm and creativity, each of them putting their unique spin on the project.
