Tomato Project – update

Hello – Hello – Hello SIP Friends!

We are back to update you on the not so little project the Ocean Class started….

The Tomato Project was a success! With the continued love and care, our little plants grew bigger and produced many red tomatoes!

The Ocean class enjoyed harvesting many red tomatoes and were excited for the next activity with the tomatoes, the PIZZA PARTY – With some thorough planning and careful preparation, the day for the Pizza Party was marked!

To start the day of the pizza party the kids made Pizza hats to wear for later. They made their pizza hats by making tomato cutouts, spreading red paint for the sauce and sprinkling yellow shredded paper for cheese.

Afternoon came and time for the pizza party!

Everyone was thrilled as they wore their smocks and their pizza hats and eagerly waited for cooking time.

After the cooking demo, the Ocean Class were now ready, as they made their mini pizzas with the fresh tomatoes they harvested, some tomato sauce and a sprinkling of shredded cheese.

Look at those happy and proud faces! 

This was such an exciting activity for the kids as they such showed so much interest from the start to end!
