6年の理科では、ろうそくが燃えたときに空気がどうなるか調べました。

底のない瓶、蓋、木のブロックを使って、ろうそくが燃え続ける理由を調べました。

ものが燃え続けるためには、新しい空気が必要であることを学びました。

また、火をつけた線香で煙を出し、空気の流れも目で見て確認しました。

In science we started investigating what happens to air when a candle burns.

We used a bottomless jar, a lid, and a wooden block to see what keeps the candle burning and we learnt that the flow of fresh air through the jar is important.

We also used lit incense sticks with smoke to visibly see the flow of the air!
