2019.07.11 Leadership Starts Young
Leadership starts early at SEIBO. How early? From Yr.1 students don’t just follow, they also learn how to lead. recently we invited preschool students to participate in Tanabata activities. Our Yr.1 students made a presentation and then showed their younger friends how to make decorations. As an education activity, teachers didn’t only plan this time as fun craft. This activity was set up as a leadership training for Yr.1 students. Yr.1 students’ responsibility was to make sure preschool students were feeling good, enjoying the task and most importantly, successfully being able to make the decorations. As we always say at Seibo, we take care of ourselves and take care of each other.
聖母では、リーダーシップを早い時期から学びます。 どれくらい早く？ 1年生から、子どもたちは教わるだけでなく、彼らはリードする方法も学びます。 先日、私たちは幼稚園生を七夕の活動に招待しました。 1年生の子どもたちはプレゼンテーションをし、それから彼らの年下の友だちにデコレーション（七夕かざり）の作り方を教えました。 教育活動として、先生たちは楽しい工作として計画しただけではありません。 この活動は、1年生向けのリーダーシップ研修として設定されました。 1年生の子どもたちの責任（課題）は、園児さんたちに気持ち良く活動を楽しませること、そして最も重要なことは、装飾を正しく作れているかを確認することでした。
