カトリック教会は、5月をマリア様の月とし、聖母マリアの生き方に倣う時としています。「聖母」を法人名とした本学院にとっても、聖母マリアの生き方を思い起こし、その生き方を倣う時として、大切にすべき月です。本校では、毎年５月に以下の目標を掲げ、各クラスで実践を考え取り組んでいます。

マリア様にならい、相手を大切にする言葉を使おう。相手を大切にするために自分の力を使おう。相手のために祈ろう。

5年生SECでは、日本人担任が宗教の時間に日本語で「聖母マリア」について授業を行い、外国人担任が総合の時間に実践目標を考える授業をしました。

The fifth graders worked well together to create an original goal for the Month of Mother Mary. What words did they link to Holy Mary? ‘Pray eeryday’, ‘A mother to everyone’, ‘listens to the word of god’ ‘ kind’ ‘helpful’; the students brainstormed and used these keywords to make goals. After three rounds of voting we narrowed it down to three main ideas:

Listen (to God)

Say ( nothing bad)

Pray (about the pandemic)

Now we have three lovely ideas to guide us this month as we try our best to be more like Mother Mary.
