2019.06.19 合唱祭 Did You Go?

大きなステージで何千人もの人々の前で歌うことは、幼い子どもにとっては少しこわいことです。 しかし、それはまた素晴らしい楽しみでもあります。 6月15日（土）に京都コンサートホールで行った私たちの合唱祭をご覧いただけたでしょうか？ それぞれのクラスや学年は自分たちの歌を、自分たちらしい表現で歌いました。 いつものように、その表現力は素晴らしかったです。一人一人が自分たちの表現活動を通して大きな経験を積みました。 約100年前に私たちの学校を始めたシスター方は、私たちの生徒たちが平和の天使になるべきだと言いました。 土曜日に、私は目を閉じて天使たちが歌うのを聞きました。 その天使たちとは聖母学院小学校の子どもたちでした。 保護者の方々も、聖母の先生たちも そう思いました。土曜日に、私たちは天使たちが歌うのを聞いたのです。

Going out on the big stage to sing in front of thousands of people is a little scary for a young child. But it’s also amazing fun. Did you see our Chorus Concert at Kyoto Concert Hall on Saturday, June 15th? Each class sang their songs and made their performance. As always, the performance quality was high. Each student gained huge experience through their performance. The sister who started our school almost 100 years ago said our students should become angels of peace. On Saturday, I closed my eyes and heard the angels singing. Those angels were the students of Seibo Elementary School. Parents think of their kids as angels. Seibo teachers think of their students as angels. On Saturday we heard the angels singing.
