2019.12.17 クリスマス会

This week we celebrated our school’s Christmas meeting for both students and guests. We welcomed many parents and visitors.  We expected about 500 people and on the day, every seat in the hall was full. Students enacted the story of Jesus Christ’s birth singing Christmas songs. The songs included lyrics of Japanese, English and Latin. Students were in charge of the entire performance. As always, the talent and precision of Seibo students was expressed in the service of Jesus Christ. In my greetings, I spoke a little about the way we celebrate a summer Christmas in Australia. Most important, we should always remember the true meaning of Christmas. We celebrate the coming of the Lord with peace in our hearts, peace in our families, peace in our communities and peace across the world. Peace be with you! Merry Christmas!

今週、児童と保護者やゲストとともにクリスマスミーティングをお祝いするクリスマス会がありました。 多くの保護者の方と訪問者を歓迎しました。 約500人の方の来校を想定して準備を行い、当日、講堂はたくさんの方でいっぱいになりました。 子どもたちは、クリスマスの聖歌を歌いながら、イエスキリストの誕生を物語る聖劇でお祝いしました。 歌には日本語、英語、ラテン語の歌詞が含まれていました。 この聖劇は、すべての役割を子ども達が担当しました。 いつものように、聖母の子ども達の素晴らしい才能と正確さが、イエス・キリストに仕える姿で表現されました。 私の挨拶では、オーストラリアでの夏のクリスマスを祝う方法について少し話しました。 最も大切なことは、クリスマスの真の意味を常に覚えておくことです。 私たちは心の平和、家族の平和、地域社会の平和、そして世界中の平和で主の到来を祝います。 平和はあなたとともに！ メリークリスマス！
