2021.03.24 Choir and Brass Band Concert

On March 22 Seibo Elementary School’s Choir and Brass Band held a concert at Kuretake Hall near Tambabashi Station. It was wonderful for students to perform live in front of an audience again. Audience members were mostly family and friends. Since the corona pandemic began, there have been few opportunities to hold events and performances. Despite practicing hard, children have not had chances to display their quality and feel the powerful experience of a live performance. Live performances have a special power and excitement. Performing live is a wonderful learning experience for elementary age children. Of course, the audience was small and according to the rules of the hall, social distance was ensured. At school, the choir and brass bands have been practicing with many restrictions due to the corona safety guidelines, especially during the emergency period. So, everyone was a little nervous that the performance would be the usual high quality. But the children were great. They gave us a marvelous performance. Children, family and friends were very glad to finally enjoy a concert again.

3月22日、京都聖母学院小学校合唱団とブラスアンサンブルクラブが丹波橋駅の呉竹ホールでコンサートを行いました。子どもたちが再び観客の前でライブを行うのは素晴らしいことでした。観客は主にご家族や友人でした。コロナパンデミックが始まって以来、イベントやパフォーマンスを開催する機会はほとんどありませんでした。一生懸命練習しているにも関わらず、子どもたちは自分たちの成果を発揮し、ライブパフォーマンスの力強い体験を感じる機会がありませんでした。ライブパフォーマンスには特別な力と興奮があります。ライブ演奏は、小学生にとって素晴らしい学習体験です。もちろん、聴衆は少なく、ホールのルールに従って、ソーシャルディスタンスも確保されました。学校では、特に緊急時には、コロナ安全ガイドラインのために合唱団とブラスアンサンブルクラブが多くの制限付きで練習しています。ですから、例年のようなパフォーマンスができるか、みんな少し緊張していました。しかし、子どもたちは素晴らしかった。私たちに素晴らしいパフォーマンスを与えてくれました。子どもたち、家族、そして友達、1年の最後にコンサートを再び楽しむことができ、本当に良かったです。
